John E. Kelly is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who has been trained in the field of Dermatology and Skin Care by Dr. Johnny Gurgen. He practices in the same philosophy and patient care approach as Dr. Gurgen provides to his patients.

John is a life-long resident of Citrus County where he attended Citrus High School. After graduation, he attended the College of Central Florida where he earned his certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. He worked in the EMS field for 10 years. From there, he continued his education at the University of Florida where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors.

After earning his Bachelor’s Degree, John became a high school Chemistry teacher and taught for 12 years. During his teaching career at Crystal River High School, he also coached football and enjoyed serving as the team’s medic.

John’s passion and desire to become a Physician Assistant led him to continue his education at Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Medical Science – Physician Assistant.

John currently lives in Inverness with his lovely wife and their Labrador retriever. He enjoys spending time his family and friends. John’s favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing and football. He and his wife have been Gator Boosters since 2002 and enjoy attending the Gator Football games every Fall.
